Jude Boatman (1989-Present) was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They Moved to Portland, Oregon in 2011, and graduated from PSU with a BFA in 2018.
“I grew up very creatively, from poetry to piano, to guitar, to photography and painting and printmaking to banjo and fiddle? to the saw, singing and songwriting my way through life, on a good day. Writing sad poems on others. Always coming back to envisioning/building bodies of work. Art is life. Life is Pain - and Compost. My artwork is how I make something out of my life. All of my work is the composting of my life, my pain(s). The commodification of my life pain, this is how I make sense of my story. A lot of shit has happened to me, and a lot of shit is happening around me. This is me trying to be somebody, go somewhere, wake up and pay attention. “
